My client has an opportunity for an assistant to join their busy marketing department. The role involves a wide range of duties including organising, supporting and marketing events, updating the firm's website and blog, drafting articles, database record maintenance, creating and circulating e-flyers, statistical analysis of marketing data and general admin support. The position would ideally suit someone with strong administrative experience who would be interested in getting involved in marketing.

Duties:

  • Providing general support to the marketing director to include, typing, diary management, arranging meetings etc.
  • Assist with setting up display stands and peripheral marketing activities. Including being able to provide support in the organisation of events
  • Create and amend spreadsheets
  • Carry out market research
  • Assist with administrative duties within the department
  • Assist with updating the firm's website and social media presence
  • Assist with the drafting, editing and preparation of articles such as blogs
  • Assist with the co-ordination of the electronic delivery of quarterly newsletters to clients and contacts.
  • Ensure stocks of brochures, leaflets and newsletters are updated and circulated to each office and any other venue they are located
  • Assist with the production of presentation packs and peripheral marketing material for events
  • Attend events to provide support and assistance in the smooth running of same
  • Assist as appropriate with the administration of the marketing dept. accounts and budget

To be considered for this role you must have previous office based experience ideally in a similar role. You will need to possess excellent organisational skills and professional communication skills including written and verbal. A strong working knowledge of IT, sound experience of using the Microsoft Office is essential. You need to be a team player and be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. Occasional travel will be required between offices and events, some of which are held out of normal working hours and at weekends, own transport is essential.
