This is a permanent opportunity working for well-established and highly successful manufacturing organisation that is now looking to recruit a Production Controller. Reporting into the Operations Manager the Production Controller will be responsible for ensuring the effective control, planning and scheduling of production activities and processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking accountability and responsibility in their role where they will be able to grow and develop the role in-line with company evolution.

Duties will include:

  • Coordinating the planning of all assembly and manufacturing schedules
  • Manage the Planning systems and software
  • Work with other departments to ensure availability of raw materials for manufacturing taking into consideration lead times and capacity planning
  • Ensure that all plans are created taking capacity and labour into consideration
  • Liaise with the senior production team to ensure production is running according to schedule
  • Active involvement in examining existing methods for scheduling and assisting with system processes and improvements
  • Address any potential for bottlenecks in production and take action to rectify to avoid any back logs
  • Assist in efficiency projects to improve manufacturing visibility and monitor production output
  • Analysing and advising on schedule trends and adapting when necessary
  • Ensure that all BOM's are accurate and reflective of business needs

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in Production Planning / Scheduling / Production Control role where you have used planning software to schedule for a multi-process production site. You will have excellent analytical skills and a natural aptitude for spotting trends or potential threats schedule adherence.
