We are working with an expanding business in the Telford area, who have an exciting new opportunity to join their energetic team as an Logistics Coordinator. Your job will be to ensure the freight operational requirements are met and all services are arranged and delivered within service and cost parameters. You will mainly be working with road freight and occasionally getting involved with other areas. As the Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for:  

  • Coordinating shipments with hauliers, agents and internal teams.
  • Communicating with customers, suppliers and overseas partners to keep shipments moving smoothly.
  • Updating internal systems with shipment and cost information.
  • Processing import and export customs documentation.
  • Resolving shipment issues and keeping customers informed of any delays.
  • Negotiating transport rates and supporting cost-saving initiatives.
  • Preparing and sending customer invoices accurately and on time.
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Supporting the wider operations team with day-to-day tasks as required.
  • Always Following Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
  • Completing training and development activities when required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous logistics, freight, transport, Import / export, shipping or administration experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Confident using systems and learning new processes.
  • Proactive and eager to learn.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
