A successful manufacturing business in Telford is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join its established maintenance team. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, repairs and breakdown response across a wide range of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Support the installation, commissioning, relocation and continuous improvement of production equipment.
- Complete maintenance work requests, engineering projects and improvement activities aimed at enhancing safety, quality and operational efficiency.
- Work on a variety of equipment including CNC turret punch machines, forming and bending machinery, spinning lathes, foam insulation equipment, MIG, TIG and laser welding equipment, testing equipment, acid treatment plants and effluent systems.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Assist with wider factory operations, health & safety initiatives, quality improvements and continuous improvement projects across the site.
- Accurately record maintenance activities using the company’s maintenance management and reporting systems.
Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled maintenance background
- Experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work as part of a busy maintenance team
