This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a highly successful international manufacturing organisation as they continue to strengthen their UK and EU trade compliance capability. They are now looking to appoint an experienced and detail‑driven IMEX / Customs / Trade Compliance Manager who will take ownership of all customs, import/export and regulatory compliance activities across the business.

This is a great role for someone with strong technical knowledge of UK and EU trade regulations who enjoys improving processes, reducing risk, and acting as the go-to compliance expert within a fast-paced operational environment.

As the IMEX and Customs Compliance Manager, you will be getting involved in:

  • Oversee UK & EU import/export compliance, including HMRC and EU Customs Code.
  • Manage HS classification, customs valuation, country of origin, and duty relief schemes.
  • Ensure effective broker management and high-quality import/export declarations.
  • Lead export controls compliance (dual‑use, sanctions, licence applications).
  • Maintain policies, SOPs, and conduct internal audits and risk assessments.
  • Act as main contact for authorities such as HMRC and EU customs agencies.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience in trade compliance (UK & EU).
  • Strong knowledge of UCC, UK Global Tariff, EU dual‑use controls, and Incoterms 2020.
  • Skilled in customs documentation, HS classification and broker oversight.
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and confident working cross‑functionally.
  • Degree in Trade, Supply Chain, Business or Law preferred, trade certifications a plus.

The application process:

Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce. We are committed to providing a barrier-free recruitment process, so if you require any reasonable accessibility adjustments within the application process, then please make it known at the earliest opportunity.

We will carefully consider your details and advise you if we’re able to progress with your application within 72 working hours. If you do not hear from us within this time your details won’t be retained. So, if you’re not successful on this occasion, do continue to respond to future roles we advertise. In the meantime, all good wishes and continued success with your search for employment.
