We are excited to partner with a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation in their search for an experienced QHSE Manager to oversee and drive the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety management systems ensuring adherence and compliance. The emphasis will be on the Quality element, therefore that will have the main weighting in this role. This is a key time to join the business as they have recently gone through a period of positive change and this role will be key in driving the QHSE piece through their UK and EU sites.

The QHSE Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all ISO 9001 standards are maintained and kept up to date
  • Leading the QHSE function and team for the UK and EU arms of the business (with the main bulk of time and focus being the UK)
  • Ensure all processes and practices meet compliance requirements
  • Oversee and facilitate the quality audit schedules
  • Ensure any bought in parts and components meet quality standards
  • Identify areas for process improvement and take through to implementation
  • Manage the sample testing and inspection process
  • Manage the product testing processes
  • Ensure any concerns or issues are closed out effectively
  • Ensure any Quality, health and safety or environmental training requirements are actioned and delivered
  • Devise and deliver Health and Safety audit schedule
  • Manage and execute and risk assessments / accident investigations
  • Oversee any facilities activities and ensure related standards are met

Skills and Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Management / QHSE / SHEQ / QUESH  role within the manufacturing sector will be essential
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with ISO9001 standard
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a Lean and continuous improvement focussed culture
  • NEBOSH / IOSH certification would be ideal but not essential
  • Flexibility and willingness for occasional travel
