We are supporting a well‑established and successful manufacturing business in Telford that is looking to recruit a Materials and Supply Chain Planner into its existing Supply Chain team. Although the business operates globally, the Telford manufacturing site has a close‑knit team and is driving forward exciting growth plans, with clear objectives to increase production volumes over the coming years.

This is a broad, end‑to‑end Supply Chain role where you will utilise procurement and planning data to review and make informed decisions around stock levels, processes and supplier evaluation, while also maintaining accurate day‑to‑day materials purchase orders.

You will be joining an organisation that offers genuine opportunities for personal development and progression, and which continues to invest heavily in both its facilities and its people.

As the Materials and Supply Chain Planner you will be getting involved in….

  • Generating 6–12 month supply forecasts using historical data, market insight and trend analysis, factoring in seasonality and promotions
  • Liaising with customers’ planning teams to gain visibility of longer‑term demand and production schedules
  • Analysing data to ensure production has the correct materials and capacity in place to meet demand
  • Working closely with the wider Supply Chain team to continuously improve forecast accuracy and maintain effective raw material and finished goods stock levels
  • Utilising MRP system functionality to support medium‑ and long‑term planning activities

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ideally experienced in Supply Chain Analyst roles, or similar such as S&OP analyst / Planner, Supply Chain Planner, Materials Planner etc., however roles that are more entry such as stock analyst and other more short-term planning roles will be considered
  • Experienced in working with and analysing supply chain data
  • Previous experience with SAP is essential
  • Focussed and able to interpret and present data
  • Strong commercial awareness and good decision-making skills

The application process:

Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce. We are committed to providing a barrier-free recruitment process, so if you require any reasonable accessibility adjustments within the application process, then please make it known at the earliest opportunity.

We will carefully consider your details and advise you if we’re able to progress with your application within 72 working hours. If you do not hear from us within this time your details won’t be retained. So, if you’re not successful on this occasion, do continue to respond to future roles we advertise. In the meantime, all good wishes and continued success with your search for employment.
